
why choose reiki
all of us seek peace and balance in our lives. yet so much of life is out of our control. we face life events, illness, divorce, and loss that overwhelm. sometimes it is the daily stress of our lives that cause sleeplessness and exhausting anxiety. this ongoing stress can cause emotional and psychological imbalance. in the struggle to release this tension, your mind and body can become dysregulated. reiki therapy is a way to find balance within yourself. the gentle touch of the reiki practitioner helps to reestablish the flow of vital energy allowing your body and mind to access their innate ability to heal.
the deep calm that clients describe after a treatment still amazes me. that inner sense of peace helps to restore balance in your body and your mind.

restoring balance
what does it mean to restore balance? what does it mean to have balance in your life?
the scale by which you measure balance is unique to you. what overloads one person’s operating system, works for another’s,
reiki therapy is a powerful tool to help restore balance to your mind and body.
there are other steps which help to restore balance. i will be writing a monthly post where i explore each of these steps in depth. these monthly blog posts used in conjunction with the healing energy of reiki are a guide to creating a long term health plan.
these are not new ideas. in fact, they are very old ideas, but the necessary demands of our lives make it almost impossible to find even a moment to act on some of these ideas. and it is easy get lost in the “have to get it done” list.
i was a single mother with my own business for many years. there came a breaking point for me. i realized that i had to take the time in whatever way, shape, or form that i could to restore my own balance. this need for balance is what lead me to become a reiki healer. i hope i can pass on some of what i learned to you.
