All living things consist of energy. There is a flow of energy throughout the universe. Chinese medicine has the concept of Qi, a vital life force energy. Indian philosophy offers the concept of Prana, a life-giving energy force.
Much in the way that A river will flow Around a rock, the body’s energy pathways can be disrupted. the daily stress of life, painful life transitions, illness or chronic pain can disrupt these pathways and cause imbalance.
A Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit of this life force energy, Setting the intention for the flow of energy to move through their hands, assisting the body’s innate healing ability and Encouraging these energy pathways to come back into balance.

What to Expect at Your Reiki Session
Your comfort is My first concern. If you are comfortable sitting in a chair, that is what we will do. if you prefer to rest on a massage table, that is what we will do.
You remain fully clothed. soothing music can be played softly in the background or we can work in the lovely quiet of the reiki energy.
During an in-person session, i gently place my hands on different energy points along your body. This is a light, non-invasive touch. You may feel my hands become warm or a slight tingling sensation. a reiki session will often leave you feeling revitalized with a deep sense of calm.
Reiki healing energy is also effective through distance healing. in the same way that Energy can travel in waves such as electromagnetic and sound waves, Reiki energy can be sent to where it is needed. the options available for Distance healing will depend on your needs. please click on distance sessions link below for more information.
